Velocity Adventures has only been incorporated since 2010, but Sondra Sondregger, president and organizer, has been running HPDE (high performance driver education) schools since 2008, formerly as a volunteer with the S2000 Club of America, which she cofounded in 2001. Sondra has been racing cars, beginning with autocross, since 1999, and she attended her first DE at Thunderhill Raceway Park in California in 2002. She is now an occasional autocrosser and is active in local car and racing communities.

She believes strongly that education and experience (aka "seat time") is the best way to become a truly good driver and to correct bad habits common to the average driver that lead to unnecessary and completely avoidable accidents. Most people aren't even aware that they have adopted very dangerous habits until they are on track with an instructor to learn what the ramifications of those habits are! The highly qualified instruction staff at Velocity Adventures have many, many years of collective experience to ensure that participants receive quality coaching and leave better drivers than they were when they arrived.
